Sole Supports, Inc, a privately owned and operated company, was founded by Dr. Edward S. Glaser, DPM in 1992. Our mission is to produce the most functional custom foot orthotic available anywhere, in order to prevent, reverse or comfortably manage many common foot, lower extremity and spine pain syndromes, deformities and functional deficiencies. The theory behind our product is unique: we look at managing foot biomechanics from an engineering perspective. This means that we are determined to actually change the functional posture of the foot in the over-pronator, enabling the healthy levels of supination required for non-pathological gait. For the more rigidly set over-supinator, we make a full contact support that disperses plantar pressures evenly, alleviating the "tripod" force concentrations that can be progressively traumatic. To achieve these goals, we have developed new manufacturing processes, especially digital shell calibration, unique to the custom orthotic industry.
